I'm looking for a good source on natural food grade DE, and also if there is an "organic" source for it. I want to use it in my dog biscuits, but not if there is a risk of crystallization from the baking process. I bake them at about 350F for no more than an hour, usually 300 for 45mins.
Thanks

DE is organic. Food grade DE should be labeled as such or codex. You may also find it as Fossil shell flour. You should be able to find it at a feed store in your area. I don't know where you are in NC but if you google food grade DE it should get you results. Hope this helps

You must have missed my last several writings on DE. There is indeed a vastly superior product in this catagory. The parent company is DiaSource and Soil Mender provides the consumer products. Here are photos of thes fresh water diatoms with the specs.

Thanks Doc, I've sent them an email for more info on the Diasource feed products. I sent you an email at the info@ address, but it must have gotten lost in the pile of emails you get. I'd like to consult with you on my new project. I'll try you at the numbers you list on the site.
thx again.
