Has anyone ever used East Indian Holly Ferns in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area? I saw some at Home Depot over the weekend, and the tag says they are safe down to zero degrees. I want to plant them in a shade garden, but was wondering how they might do during the hottest part of the summer. They will not get any direct sunlight. Thanks.

The East Indian Holly Ferns should do well for you, but placing them in a position where you will be able to provide them sunlight, if and when needed is even a better idea.

They can only take morning sun.

These are planted in mostly shade with filtered sun. If they get full sun, it's just for an hour in the morning, but mostly filtered. They are planted under several large oak and sweet gum trees.

Thank you for all the comments and suggestions.
