Is anyone familiar with Soil Therapy (TM) compost? It is produced by the Angelina & Neches River Authority, at it's Neches Compost Facility located near Jacksonville, Texas. It is a biosolid product produced from wood chips, lawn waste and sludge from waste water treatment plants. Their website offers links to monthly compost analytical testing results. is this product safe?

Sorry, not familiar with this product.

Where are you located? Are you trying to find a truly organic compost? Is that how you happened on the Soil Therapy brand?

There is a lot of concern about pharmaceutical products and some heavy metals that are being found in the sewer sludge products. The EPA report on composted sewer sludge found wide variance among the composting practices. Howard and the Texas Organic Research Center are doing more research on these products. Most organic people believe that they should not be used on residential properties and definitely not on any food crops.

I am from Tyler. I am looking for a supplier of bulk compost within a reasonable driving distance. I've seen this facility before and thought I would look it up. I am familiar with compost, but not chemistry. Based on the Compost Analysis Results offered via link on SoilTherapy website, I would like to know if this product is safe for landscaping. I will not use this for food crops. the presence of arsenic, chromium, etc.. scare me.

There are many companies that produce compost and mulches from good natural material. I prefer to buy these products. I do not buy products made with or from biosolids.
