Hopefully this is the correct forum for this question.
I just got my garlic planted 8 days ago, and several have sprouted already. Not realizing it would freeze tonight (11/12/12), I watered this afternoon; it was dry with all the windy conditions and lots of sun. But I didn't get a chance to mulch the bed. I did give the bed a layer of organic mushroom compost after planting last week, but I'm wondering how much damage I might have caused by watering today. IOW, will they freeze and die?

Might as well prepare myself for the worse.
thanking you in advance.
Frankie

This is the time of year to plant garlic, it should be fine. I have some that comes up every year and there are a lot of tender shoots out there that are sparkling in the frosty morning light.

Thank you so much! I was two weeks later planting this year.
Fretting unnecessarily, I suppose.
