:( I am finding 3 to 5 dead baby birds in my yard every morning. I do live near Wichita Falls, Tx and we did get low temps this past weekend. My husband says that the nest my be over populated and moma bird is kicking the babies out of the nest? Does anyone have an ideas why this may be happening? Should I be concerned or am I just listening to many Stephen King audiobooks while I garden?

I assume you are pesticide-free? I'm wondering if there's some tainted food, or pesticide-laced food that the birds are feeding to the young. That's awful. I had an episode of this about 15 years ago which is what converted me to organics...becuase I was the one that killed them w/ some toxic stuff I put on my lawn.

This is my first year to be total organic. No fear when the dogs follow me around and lick the dry molases or corn meal!!
Poor baby birds. I hope it isnt anything I am doing.
Thanks for repling.

So have you asked any neighbors if they've seen the same thing? or ask if they've recently put something on their lawn? How many do you think you've had so far and for how long?
