Post subject:  Dead Birds in Arkansas

There has been a lot of press about the dead birds in Arkansas. From what I have heard the most likely cause is that the birds became disoriented by a fireworks display that occurred just before the birds started falling from the sky. They then started flying into each other and into buildings.

This kind of thing has been reported to happen fairly often (from various causes), but with the instant communications of the Internet such occurrences receive much greater visibility.

I'll post any updates from Cornell or other sources.

I herd that they ate some wild berries and ate tooo many of them! :shock:

Maybe not:) but Cedar Waxwings can eat enough fermenting berries on warm, spring days to become intoxicated.
