Good Morning, All,
We moved to the Corpus Christi area in April... were late putting in our spring garden. When the corn matured, I found some ear worms and some borers. But, the worst malady was a bacterial wilt. What it did to the ears of corn was dreadful to behold. I've read that this wilt over-winters in Johnson grass (which loves sprouting up among my garden plants!). How can I treat my soil to prevent this bacterial wilt problem in my fall garden?
Thanks ever so much for your advice.

Try adding Actinovatte to the soil and spray crops and soil with aerated compost tea with hydrogen peroxide added. Use grocery store peroxide at 8 oz per gallon of spray.
