I had cilantro in a certain spot in my garden last year and in January I had new plants from the seeds. It survived the "cold" weather we had and is doing fantastic. I transplanted some to other areas with no problems at all. This seems to be a very easy herb to grow and transplant. Some of my plants are starting to go to seed now. I love cilantro. I have even dried it and put up in jars. It works great dried.I use it in salads and it is just as good as the fresh.

The cilantro in my herb garden sprouted last Fall and is now flowering, so even in a pot, it's going to flower and die off fairly soon. It's a cool-loving plant. Go ahead and plant now, but also try growing some from seed over Fall and Winter.
