Paulette I think you might be rushing it a bit. They are probably now only starting the plants from seed. You dont want too old of plants when you transplant because they will probably be root bound if they are. The hottest single pepper known to man is the red savina habanero.

Sweet peppers– 0 Scoville units .
Jalapenos– 2,500-5,000 units.
Habaneros– 150,000-326,000 units.
Red Savina habanero– 577,000 units.
Pure capsaicin (the concentrated hot extract)– over 1,000,000 units

I cant tell you where you might find the plant but you can get the seed from redsavina.com

Other good contenders are the congo habenero or perhaps the carribean red habenero

I always but my pepper seeds on-line. Try Pepper Joe's. They also have plants. They specialize in the really hooooot varietys and a lot of organic seeds as well. I start mine in February and expose the little plants to some cold weather, not enough to freeze them, but cooold none the less. This seems to make them very hot when it comes time to pick the peppers. The habeneros are hot and the Tazmanian hab was almost too hot to eat last year. At least that was what my pepper crazed husband and his psycho friends said. I won't touch them when they get that insanely hot. Good luck.
