I have 3 huge zucchini plants. They are all very healthy and flowering, but I've only had 1 piece of fruit. Any ideas?

It's too late here for much zucchini. When did you plant them?

At least a month ago. The plants are huge and flowering.

I think it's possibly just too late. But be persistent, the pollinators may find them. That's probably what is missing.

Do you think cutting a few of the big leaves to allow the flowers to be seen would help?

No. It'll just leave hollow places for pests to get into the plant. You could pick the male flowers and brush them over the female flowers.

I've been dealing with the same problem this year. Beautiful plants; lots of blooms; no zucs. I'm wondering if it has to do with the decline of the honey bees (?) and, therefore, no pollination. (?)

I ended up getting more than we could eat. I started shaking the plants the way I do the tomatoes.
