I had a watermelon break off the vine this morning. It weights about 1 pound. What do I do with it? Should I let it sit around for a few days to ripen? Is the poor guy edible? Or compost? Thanks Rod |

Once it has broken off the vine it is what it is. Cut it open and see what it looks/tastes like. I doubt if it is any good but you have no other choice. I had a small one like that last week and it was mushy in the center but the part near the rind was good. Tony M |
