Last year I made the mistake of fertilizing (yes, high N, non-organic) in Sept. and my St. Aug. was taken over by Brown Patch. I applied corn meal at 20 lbs./1000 and sprayed a baking soda w/oil spray. The areas didn't recover I think because it was so late in the growing season. The grass is now starting to green a little, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't come back and that those bad areas will green up. Any thing else I should do now that it is Spring?
So far, in the past couple weeks, I have added 20lbs./1000 green sand and same for lava sand. I also applied Garden Ville Organic fertilizer along with a Bio Inoculant.
Thoughts??
