does anyone know if non-dairy creamer can be put into the compost pile? a freind is wanting to dump it in there instead of throwing it down the drain but i didn't have a good answer for her. thanks,christina |

Absolutely! Any food that you would normally put in your mouth or in your food table, is perfectly fine for the microherd and earthworms in a compost pile. Just make sure no matter what foods you put in a pile, always cover it up with extra browns like leaves, etc. , in order to mask any odors and to help humus to development better in the pile. Any compost pile should have at least 2-3 times more browns than greens, and more plant matter in it than any animal matter. (According to the great compost king Malcolm Beck) Happy Gardening! |
