I recently installed flagstones to cover my entire backyard, which is only a 40' by 6' strip. It gets about 4 hours of sun a day and stays somewhat moist compared to the other areas of my yard. My soil is generally black clay but I put down a layer of soil between the stones consisting of top soil, peat moss, and cow manure in a 4:2:1 ratio. I'm not sure what I should plant between the stones. I want something more interesting than dawrf mondo. Have been considering Elfin Thyme, Corsican Mint, Chocolate Chip Ajuga, and other thymes. I thought about Irish Moss but have heard it turns brown in hot Texas summers. I prefer plants with multiple uses, such as those that repel ants/fleas, culinary, aromatic, flowering, etc. Also want something that will look good all year.
Anyone have any suggestions? And where can I buy about a hundred plugs at once? Also keep in mind that I would like to plant soon, so will need something that will take root this time of year, and be strong enough to survive the winter.
Thanks for any help,
Heather :? [/url]

Elfin thyme is available online. Click on this link and then search for elfin thyme:

Search their plant database, and maybe you'll find other options you like!
