What is the best method for getting rid of large quantities of fire place ashes?
Would they overpower a small compost pile? :?: :?: :?:

I think they will eventually be absorbed by a compost pile.

Have you considered getting into the lye soap business :D

Animal fat mixed with wood ashes makes lye soap.
