I have a mixed lawn of St. Augustine and Bermuda and being taken over by Dollar Weed. What is my organic solution to this problem since I don't want to go commericial.

Wanda,

I don't know if this is the answer you are looking for, but I will relate my experience and you can take it for what it's worth. About 3 seasons ago, I had a sudden and unexplained "invasion" of Dollar Weed in a side yard which is solid St. Augustine. What did I do to eliminate it? Nothing. That's right I didn't spray it, pull it, dig it. I just continued to mow (it's green and blended in nicely). The next season it was gone as inexplicably as it had appeared. My suggestion would be continue to keep your lawn mowed/watered/fertilized normally and see where you are next season.

I couldn't agree more! I am doing the same this year -- I think it's thriving on the cool, wet spring. I'm just ignoring it and mowing higher.

Dollar weed around here is embarassingly easy to pull out by the roots. How anything with that weak a root system ever got started is a mystery.
