My husband and I just bought a house ( last week), and the back yard was crawling with ticks, fleas and other critters. Also, it is completely covered with weeds, in fact, we've found only one patch of grass. We immediately threw on a harsh chemical pesticide to kill all the bugs, and had planned to use a chemical weed and feed. On Sunday, we heard the Dirt Doctor on the radio, and realized we hadn't even considered going organic. What can we do now? Is it too late to start going oragnic this year? Help!

It is never too late! Go to http://www.dirtdoctor.com/home.php & scroll down for the basic info you need to get started. Come back to this discussion board with any questions you need answers to. Many people are glad to help.

It is never a bad day to start 'going organic.' Start by swearing off -icides and chemical fertilizers and you're halfway there. Then you have to unlearn most of what you think you know about garden care and let the truth about organic fill in the blanks.

Read the FAQs here in this forum and elsewhere on Dirt Doctor. It doesn't get much better than what you'll find here (in my humble opinion).
