 Post subject: oak tree disease

I have two small oaks in my yard, they have been here since i moved in 3 years go, they have some sort of disease that is turning brown and the leaves are all yellow. How can I attach a pic of it to this post. I have 2 pics of it..Chris In Alvord, TX

:( As soon as I read your post, I suspected Oak Wilt Disease, Rampant here in Minnesota, and in my home state of Missouri. It is spread via the roots and the vector..Nitidulidae, or as it is called here in Mn. "picnic beetle" The beetle will transfer the disease by it's feeding on the sap, They must visit fresh wounds made between may 15-june 15 here in Mn. Not sure about Texas, they advise against pruning or trimming during those dates, but it doesn't help with a early spring ice storm! , also, although not here, in certain parts of the country another vector is the Oak Bark Beetle, please consult your local county extension, or Master Gardener, I have included a link for you to investigate.http://www.na.fs.fed.us/spfo/pubs/howtos/ht_oakwilt/symptoms.htm
