I have a few questions to pose today. I have white spots on my dwarf burford holly shrubs. They are tiny, and look like spots of white paint. Are these aphids? I've looked over the discussion board and the information on the website and see that Garrett Juice is recommended. Is this something one can buy or make yourself? I live near Rohde's, so I could purchase it there. Also, I saw, on this same shrub, a lizard I need help identifying. It was not a gecko, since I have lots of these around the house and know their appearance. This guy had a white belly, and a grayish upper body, with very green eyes and a white stripe going all the way down his back. He seemed to be eating the white spots. Is he friend or foe? I've never seen a lizard like it. He was about 3- 4 inches long. Thanks for any advice and help.

I'm guessing that the white spots are mealy bugs; might be aphids or scales. Garrett Juice is great for your plants but will not get rid of the bugs unless you add something to it to kill bugs. I would use NEEM. See the links below for more info.

You can buy Garrett Juice and most any of the products mentioned on this site at feed or garden stores. Rohde's should have everything you need & will have good advice also. Take a leaf with the bugs on it and they will ID it for you. All lizards we have in this area are beneficial. I can't ID it for you. Maybe someone else can help.
Ck the http://www.dirtdoctor.com/home.php website & these discussion forums for all the info you need.

All lizards, toads and frogs are on your side. Once you have gone organic you will be amazed at how many of these critters come around and take care of the bugs for you.
