You have to make the image in question available on a web server somewhere else - not locally on/from your computer. Almost all internet providers give you limited space on their servers for this sort of thing. With the space you can "create your own web site/page" or in this case just upload whatever files/images you'd like to it. In order to find out how to upload your images/files to their servers you'll need to call them for help or visit their web site and look for instructions on how to do so.

Another option are free or pay services that will provide you space on a web server. There are some specifically aimed at web-based photo sharing. Others here might have some recommendations on those kinds of operations.

In any case once you've uploaded your images somewhere on the web then you'll need to cut and paste the image's url address in the body of the message you're writing here on the forums. Once you've figured out the process it's easy and, IMO, usually makes for a lot more informative posts.

If you'd like to PM me later today with your internet provider's specifics I could help you figure things out.

You can set up a free account at Photobucket.com and then upload the pic there. Under each pic you will see the HTTP link for it.

When you are in the reply page here, after you have typed what you want, hit the IMG button... then paste the HTTP link in... then hit the IMG button again (it will now say IMG* to show it's still open) to close the image link in your reply.

Then do a Preview of your message to make sure you got it right.

Thanks for the information. Hey Billusa99, we're neighbors! I live just south of the M-streets on Richard Ave. Are you in Greenland Hills?

Mercy! So much good, knowledgeable advice on how to post photos. Hopefully, some day it will all sink in to this old gray head. Meanwhile, I trust that my plant question can be addressed with the simple "caviar" description. Thanks.
