I have a tropical hibiscus that is being attacked by something but, I don't know what. It seems to be happening at night because I don't see anything on the plant during the day.

The flower buds have big holes in them about 8-10mm and the contents are empty. Also, whatever it is leaves droppings about 6mm in size on the foliage beneath the buds. Any ideas as to what this could be?

It's some type of caterpillar/worm/larvae. I remember reading about it somewhere, maybe fly larvae?
