I just had a version of it happen. The last time I visited and selected the 'view posts since last visit' button was yesterday Feb 21. I counted 11 new posts, right column, on Feb 22, but only 4 showed up on the left column and when I clicked the 'view posts since last visit' button. It looks like the software forgets when you last pressed the button. What does the software consider as your last visit in respect to the button?

Last visit should just be the last time you logged out. I myself have noticed some weird things when I would just close the browser or change sites without hitting the "Log out" link in the upper right hand corner of the page.....Since I started logging out after every visit, I have noticed nothing odd, for what it's worth....

Anyway, the programmers are researching the issue further....

Thanks!

I got on the forum this am by clicking on a link in my favorites. This brings me right to the forum and I don't have to sign in. I clicked on log out and it brought me back to a sign in page. Just to see what would happen, I went back to my favorites link and when the forum came up I clicked on view since last visit. It said 35 new matches but there were only 8 on the page.
I don't know if this helps any but that's my story.

Tony, could you try something for me? Log out, then when you get the sign in page, log back in, then go to the forums and click on posts since last visit and tell me what happens?

Thanks!

That worked fine. Doing what I mentioned in my last message usually works fine also.

Thanks Tony....Doing what you did (logging in, reading new posts, then logging out) always updates my last viewed posts correctly, but I think it's when you do as you described earlier (accessing the forums from a favorite) that the funny stuff sometimes happens....The key word is sometimes, and that makes it hard, if not impossible to track down and fix....

I never log out. I just close the page. The majority of the time it works correctly.

I understand, but if you log out after each visit, the software will be act much more consistent for you....
