I have banana trees that are planted in big planters. I have recently discovered that ants have destroyed one of the stalks. Everytime I water I notice there are ants coming out of the soil. I sprinkled instant grits on the top soil, but I was also told to use the dry molasses, so I went and purchased some. Not really sure how to use this or if it will even work. I was also wondering if it would be good to spread on my lawn. Can anyone give me any information pertaining to how and if this molasses will get rid of the ants and how good is it as far as nutrients for my potted plants and lawn?
