For the past few years my beautiful white Dogwood in the front garden has been looking worse and worse. I see lots of branches now without life, but they seem to still be somewhat flexible. Last year it barely bloomed. The bark down low doesn't look good either. Would it help to feed it, and what should I feed it?
Thank you,
Rob

Best feed for it to start with would be the Sick Tree Treatment as mentioned in the top posts in this forum. After that, we need to look at the tree's current environment.

Check to see if it is planted too deeply. If so, you may need to clear some soil from the root zone until the root flare is exposed.

Make sure it's not getting overwatered.

What sort of sun exposure is the tree getting? Is it full sun, or is it growing in the shade of a much larger tree like and oak or Elm?

There is a disease spreading through the south that is killing a lot of dogwoods. The one in my yard died a couple of years ago after a slow decline like you describe, and I notice there aren't as many in the woods as there used to be. I heard the name of this disease but of course can't remember now.
